I don't think I can make it on such short notice. Will you be making this an annual gather? If so, I will absolutely be there next year.

I'd like to hear about what you're doing. As of now, KallistiCon is the only all-Discordian gather that I know of, so I'm extremely interested in hearing what someone else is doing.

Email me at stmae@discordian.com about this please.

I know I've conversed with you via email about this in years past; sorry you fell off the invite list this year (it's all very disorganized.) This is in fact the FIFTH year of the MDMA. This may well be the last one (I say that every year.) I just tossed you an email anyway so you've got my address again. I've always felt bad that I don't keep in better contact with my fellow Discordians on the interwebs (I still owe John Fenderson of Discordian Research Technology copies of the official mix CDs from past MDMAs, in return for the buttons he sent out to MDMA a few years ago, but I've never sent a snailmail package before and thus am thwarted by my own patheticness. I'm thinking of just sending him some links to downloads.) But then, the "Midwest" is thrown in there in large part to reflect my attention span, which is generally limited to places I can walk (things get downright foreign past a few hours drive.) Anyway, if you ever do make it out, you would be warmly welcomed. I like foreigners.

Well then, it might still be. Barely anyone involved in what I'd call Midwest Discordian Ministry self-identifies as Discordians at all. Some of them are outwardly hostile to my identification as Discordian; I can't even tell them they're Midwest Discordian Ministers, otherwise they might realize what they're doing and stop. And when I do find myself surrounded by other Discordians, I don't identify myself as Discordian, I identify myself as Christian. Because I'm Discordian.

so I'm extremely interested in hearing what someone else is doing.

Well, keep on paying attention to this livejournal. The lack of posts over the past year reflects something of a creative slump on my part--I wasn't actually doing anything worth posting about. But this Open Mic worship thing is helping me get my groove back...it's something I'd be happy to spend an hour doing even if just me & my buddy showed up, and yet it's fun enough for the whole family that it's got a satisfied crowd of regulars after just three services. That community in turn is leading me into other projects, and so I hope to have much more worth posting about soon enough.

That said, email sent. :-D

It'd be great to see you! General details are that Friday evening and Saturday afternoon until dusk, we'll be at the Red Herring Restaurant, hanging out. Sunday morning, we'll be upstairs from the restaurant in the Channing-Murray chapel, where Father Chris Tessone will be leading us in Mass. Sorry for the lack of more specific times, but I forget offhand what exact start/end times I put on the Channing-Murray calendar. I've been telling people we'll have an "Open Mic Worship" at 1pm on Saturday; that probably won't be the only one we have in the course of the weekend. To arrange accomodations or other details, go ahead and contact me through IMSA channels.
